Established in 2020, Masegare Early Childhood Development (MECD) provides a safe, fun-filled environment for children aged six and under. We encourage the growth and development of children of all ages by providing educational activities and free play in a fully supervised child-minding service.
Registered with the Department of Health, the Department of Education, the Department of Social Development and the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission, MECD will ensure to give the best care and education to each child. We have loving, caring staff with years of experience who are dedicated to looking after your most precious gift – your child. Once your baby moves from the Baby Care Section to the Toddler Section, we assist in potty training, teaching eating skills, rhymes and songs, and we play a lot! Led by our dedicated and experienced principal, Miss Boitumelo Setlawane, who is assisted by several qualified teachers who educate, support and care for every child on their specific and unique individual level and age group.
Please note the following:
- MECD is open all year round: Monday to Friday,
- We only close once a year, normally the second Friday of December and re-open on the first working day in January,
- The creche operates from 06:30 to 17:30 daily,
- The creche fees are from January to December yearly,
- All extras, i.e., baking, tuck and toiletries are included in your monthly fees (no hidden costs),
- We have an open-door policy and welcome any feedback from our parents. We strive to have happy children and parents.
The first seven years of a child’s life are the most important as they form the basis of their character. This is why it is of the utmost importance that you choose a safe and secure environment where your child will spend fun-filled days feeling loved.
At our Creche, we follow the CAPS Programme, based on theme-related work on a weekly basis. Our children are truly happy and stimulated throughout the morning.
The classes are divided up into groups to ensure that they have the best possible care and age-appropriate equipment and play areas.
